How to Turn a YouTube Channel Into a Podcast

Many podcasters begin as YouTube hosts. Turning your YouTube channel into a podcast can help you to reach a wider audience. This allows you to share your content with even more people for very little extra work!

Creating a podcast from an existing YouTube channel is very simple. There are two great options for how to do this:

  1. If you already have separate audio tracks for your videos, MicDrop is an easy way to turn them into a podcast.
  2. If you want the audio to be extracted from your videos automatically, Herald is a great tool for setting up your podcast.

To try the first option, follow the instructions in our Getting Started Guide. Once your podcast is set up, you will be ready to add it to Apple Podcasts with this guide.

To turn audio from your existing YouTube videos into a podcast, use Herald. Herald will automatically extract the audio, build your podcast, and give you an RSS feed that you can publish to any podcast platform (Apple, Spotify, Stitcher, Google Podcasts, and more).
